My name is Anlly Nelson. I was born and raised in Colombia, where Spanish was the language I grew up speaking. I came to the United States with the dream of learning English. At first, my English was not very strong, but little by little I learned and eventually reached a good conversational level.

Learning a second language has given me so many meaningful experiences in life. From my own experience, I know how beautiful it is to connect with people who speak a different language.

For me, speaking both Spanish and English has opened the door to meeting new people and discovering cultures and traditions I may never have experienced if I had stayed in my comfort zone speaking only Spanish.
